Things have never declared themselves empty, nor have they declared
themselves form; and they have not declared themselves right, wrong,
defiled or pure. Nor is there a mind that binds and fetters people.
It is just because... continue...

Well I have just read through your so called concepts, and what I have come to realize, through my christian background. Is that all of these ideas and especially this religion of believeing of reincarnation? I mean come on, once you are conceived you have a soul, and then you are born, and on this earth you have a choice to follow either God's ways or live in ignorance of his ways and goto hell. It's very true and very real. The Bible is very powerful, it is the word of God, and to deny that fact is pure ignorance. You people who read this and may think that it is just merely a book that some people just put together. I pray for you that the Holy Spirit will open your eye's someday before it is to late, to realize the truth, that there is a living God. For you people who dont' believe have you ever prayed to your so called "gods" and have gotten the answer? I doubt you have. I went to this one retreat and seen this man cured of arthiritis (can't spell) but God healed him, now let's see one of your statues do that. Now I have to go and may who ever read's this I pray that you might have a change of heart.

Are the concepts of Zen and Christianity compatible, or are they completly opposing philosophies. I spent three years in Japan, am married to a Japanese woman. I am a Christian, but gain great peace through the philosophy of Zen. I look forward to hearing and studying more towards alignment of these ideas.
